DG Khan board announces 2026 matric results, girls outperform boys

Dera Ghazi Khan – The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Dera Ghazi Khan hosted a prestigious ceremony to honour the position holders of the annual matriculation examination for the year 2026.

The event was graced by Commissioner of Dera Ghazi Khan Division, Ashfaq Ahmed Chaudhry, who served as the chief guest and officially launched the results online with a ceremonial click.

The ceremony was attended by a distinguished gathering, including Chairman of the Board Professor Dr. Abdul Rauf, Vice Chancellor of Ghazi University Professor Dr. Ashfaq Ahmed, Principal of Medical College Professor Dr. Bilal Saeed, Additional Commissioner Syed Naveed Alam, Controller of Examinations Professor Muzaffar Hussain, Secretary of the Board Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Technical Officer Ahmed Ali Qureshi, along with other notable personalities, teachers, parents, and students.

On this occasion, the Commissioner extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students who achieved outstanding success, emphasizing that hard work, dedication, and consistency are the keys to accomplishment. He also praised the invaluable contributions of teachers and parents, whose guidance and training played a pivotal role in helping students reach such remarkable heights.

The Commissioner remarked that the position holders are not only a source of pride for their families and educators but also for the entire region. He urged the students to channel their academic abilities toward the progress and development of the country and to continue moving forward with the same spirit and determination in the future.

At the conclusion of the ceremony, the distinguished guests distributed certificates of honour, medals, and cash prizes among the position holders of the annual matriculation examination for 2026.

The occasion was marked by enthusiastic encouragement for the successful students, their parents, and teachers, with attendees expressing great joy and pride in the students’ achievements.
The Chairman of the Board, the Secretary, and the Controller of Examinations also addressed the gathering, offering their congratulations and expressing hope that the students would strive even harder in the future to attain greater success.

The Chairman reported that the overall success rate for the examination stood at 77.86 percent. A total of 96,482 candidates appeared in the exams, of whom 75,124 successfully passed. Notably, female students outperformed their male counterparts, with a success rate of 84.05 percent compared to 72.52 percent among male students.

In terms of district-wise performance, Muzaffar garh secured the first position, followed by Kot Addu in second, Layyah in third, Taunsa in fourth, Dera Ghazi Khan in fifth, and Rajan pur in sixth place.
