In another important development, the Chief Election Commissioner had denied to meet the President of Pakistan. Dr. Arif Alvi had invited the CEC for an important meeting regarding the date of general elections, but Sikandar Sultan Raja had denied saying that announcing the date was ECP’s job now after the Election Act amendment.
There has been a lot of criticism on the CEC by the Netizens that he can meet the US Ambassador but cannot meet the President.
