Dr. Seemi Jamali passes away

Dr. Seemi Jamali, former executive director of Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Karachi, has passed away.

Bilal Memon, brother of Dr. Seemi Jamali, said that Dr. Seemi Jamali was suffering from cancer and was undergoing treatment at Agha Khan Hospital for the last eight days. She died at the private hospital at 7:30 pm this evening and was 61 years old, he said.

Dr. Seemi Jamali has left behind her husband Dr. A R Jamali, two sons Umar Jamali and Babar Jamali.

According to a statement issued by the family, Dr. Seemi Jamali’s funeral prayers will be offered tomorrow (Sunday) after Asar prayers at JPMC Mosque.

Bilawal, Murad and Pechuho express grief over the demise of Dr. Seemi Jamali:

Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has expressed grief over the death of Dr. Seemi Jamali, former executive director of Jinnah Hospital and expressed heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that the services of Dr. Seemi Jamali during the Corona epidemic are also unforgettable, I pray, May Allah almighty give him a high position in Jannatul Firdous and patience to the bereaved family.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in a condolence statement expressed deep grief over the demise of Dr. Seemi Jamali.

He said that Dr. Seemi Jamali was a brave and strong woman and prayed for the high status of Maruma.

Sindh Health Minister Dr. Azra Pechuho also expressed deep sorrow over the demise of Dr. Seemi Jamali and said that the deceased had made significant contributions in the health sector.
