Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has accelerated the preparations for the general elections and has developed a new Result Management System (RMS) for submission of election results.
ECP’s IT wing has developed the new RMS system to get results from all constituencies of the country.
A local media report has claimed that the new RMS system has been developed. According to the report, ECP has decided to conduct a third party audit regarding the use of this new Result Management System in the coming general elections.
After the third party audit, a certified firm would separately develop the system. A successful trial of the new RMS has been conducted.
According to the report, a certified firm would be hired for the purpose of keeping a backup of the system. Polling station wise collection of results along with party position turnout and other useful indicators would be included in the system.
The new RMS will also help in indicating party position by vote and would be certified as per international standards.
