The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to indict the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry in the ECP contempt case.
A four-member bench of the commission headed by Member Sindh Nisar Durrani heard the contempt of commission case against PTI chairman, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry.
The ECP reserved its verdict on PTI’s objections, its lawyer Faisal Chaudhry appeared before the ECP on behalf of the parties. The ECP has summoned PTI chairman, Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry in their personal capacity on the next hearing.
During the hearing, lawyer Faisal Chaudhry said that no order of the election commission for the last hearing was received.
Member Nisar Durrani said that the parties did not appear in the Election Commission even today.
The ECP rejected PTI’s objections and adjourned the hearing of the case till July 11.
