Eidul Fitr is being observed nationwide with zeal and fervor. In all cities, towns, and villages around Pakistan, large Eid gatherings were conducted in open spaces, mosques, and Eidgahs.
In their sermons, the Ulema emphasized the concept and importance of Eid al-Fitr. There were special prayers given for the wellbeing of the Muslim Ummah as well as the success and prosperity of the nation.
Islamabad
The largest Eid assembly in the Federal capital was conducted at the Faisal Mosque, where the President and senior government officials along with ambassadors from Muslim nations would perform Eid prayers.
Lahore
In the provincial capital, worshippers congregated in mosques, Eidgahs, and public areas to give Eid prayers. The Badshahi Masjid had the largest Eid prayer gathering, and the governor of Punjab also prayed there. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and former Chief Minister Punjab Hamza Shehbaz offered their eid prayers in Model Town while Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan also offered his eid prayers in Lahore.
Karachi
Eid prayer gatherings were organized in mosques, eidgahs, and imambargahs around Karachi.
The primary Eid gathering took place in Gulshan-e-Jinnah, but sizable Eid prayer gatherings also took place at Eidgah Nazimabad, Nishtar Park, T-Ground, and Daar-ul-Uloom Karachi. The Sindh Government has put in place strict security measures for the event.
Peshawar
On the first and second days of Eid, the Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Haji Ghulam Ali, and the Interim Chief Minister, Muhammad Azam Khan, would meet the people at the Governor House.
The major congregation in Peshawar was place on Eidgah Charsadda Road. To keep the region tranquil during Eid, the administration has implemented stringent security measures.
Quetta
The residents of Balochistan are also celebrate Eidul Fitr with the same zest and religious fervor as the rest of the nation.
More than 200 Eid prayer gatherings took place in Quetta, with the major gathering taking place at Eidgah Toghi Road. These gatherings took place in public spaces including as parks, Masajid, and imambargahs.
Eid prayers were held at Governor House in Quetta by Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo and Chief Justice of the Balochistan High Court Justice Nahim Akhtar.
