Elon Musk hires iPhone hacker to fix Twitter

Twitter Chief Executive Elon Musk has hired George Hotz, a man who earns sudden fame for hacking into iPhone in 2007, to fix Twitter.

As per media reports, Hotz was also associated with Musk’s SpaceX.

In 2007 Hotz was the first person ever to unlock an iPhone.

Musk hired Hotz to fix the bug in the search option on Twitter in 12 weeks.

Hotz in a tweet stated, “I’m down for a 12-week internship at Twitter for the cost of living in SF. It’s not about accumulating capital in a dead world, it’s about making the world alive.”

Hotz also stated that he is not interested in joining the company for a longer duration.

Elon Musk replied to his tweet by offering to talk.

This is not the first time Musk turned to Hotz to complete a challenging task. He sought Hotz for the position while Tesla was having trouble creating driver assistance technology. However, Hotz turned down Musk’s offer.

Hotz also enquired as to whether or not his followers would switch from using Google Search to Twitter Search.

He tweeted questions like “What do you think about the Twitter search’s quality? Why would you choose Twitter search over Google search?”

In response, a user said that it was still horrible.

The user regarding Twitter search further wrote, “If I’m searching for something and I’m even 1 character off I straight up don’t find what I’m looking for.”

Hotz agreed with him and promised to seek simple fixes to the problem.
