Enough proof to declare PTI as proscribed group, says Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sanuallah said on Saturday that the search of Imran Khan’s home in Zaman Park turned up “enough evidence” to support designating the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf as a proscribed group.

The administration would engage with the legal staff to assess whether a process could be started in this regard, the minister said during a press conference.

“Any party can be declared prohibited through a legal process. He stated at a press conference on Saturday night, “I think our legal team and government will have to examine what the possibilities for victory in this process are.

Terrorists, according to Rana Sanaullah, were hiding when the raid was carried out in Zaman Park. “Weapons, petrol bombs, and other items have been found in Imran Khan’s home, which is sufficient proof to file a complaint against the PTI for being a terrorist group, he claimed.

The comment from the interior minister comes a day after the senior vice president of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz requested the federal government to label the PTI a “terrorist organization.”

“She made the statement while speaking at a press conference with party officials at the PML-N Secretariat.” I do not doubt that he (Imran) was launched to promote turmoil in the country,” she claimed.

Punjab Police claimed to find assault guns, ammo, petrol bombs, and other weapons in a raid operation on Zaman Park on Saturday.
