Former Prime Minister of Malaysia Mahathir Mohamad, tweeted on the historical context of Russia’s conflict in Ukraine, showing he seemed to be recovering well after being brought to the hospital for Covid.

On Friday, in a string of 17 tweets, Mahathir Mohamad accused NATO of inciting Russia to invade Ukraine and said that the conflict dates back to the Cold War between Moscow and Western countries.

He stated, “I believe that European nations are simply addicted to war, to killing people. For thousands of years, there was never a year when there was no war between European nations.”

Mahathir, who has been vocal in criticizing western policies, tweeted that the conflict in Ukraine is an example of the best European techniques and that the provocation has now migrated to the Far East.

According to a statement from his office on Wednesday, Mahathir has been kept under observation at the National Heart Institute.
