Faisalabad DC ensures prompt solutions to parliamentarians’ grievances

Parliamentarians highlight issues relating to PHA, parking, development projects

A District Coordination Committee (DCC) meeting was held under District Convener and Member of National Assembly (MNA) Faizullah Kamoka at the deputy commissioner’s (DC) office.

Faisalabad DC Ali Shahzad briefed on development projects, in addition to operational and general issues regarding the Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA), Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA), and Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO).

Provincial Minister for Colonies Mian Khayal Ahmed Kastro, parliamentarians Raja Riaz Ahmed, Sheikh Khurram Shehzad, Ch. Ali Akhtar, Latif Nazar and other members including Major (retd) Abdul Rehman Rana, Rana Javed Ashraf, Shahbaz Kasana, Javed Niaz Manj and Dr Hassan Masood were present.

The meeting was also attended by Development Deputy Director Rana Tahir, FESCO CEO Bashir Ahmed, WASA Managing Director (MD) Jabbar Anwar, and FDA officers.

The meeting was informed that the development schemes of the Sustainable Development Goals Achievement program phase one, two and three were complete. In contrast, the schemes were being estimated under Phase-IV.

During the meeting, a committee was formed under the supervision of MNA Shehzad, for the provision of electricity to additional localities of different areas. The committee would submit their report after checking the matters in detail.

The DC, meanwhile, directed the concerned departments to implement the report and provide a compliance update in the next meeting.

Shahzad also led the development to circulate the meeting minutes to the parliamentarians.

The parliamentarians during the conference also highlighted that the Faisalabad Park & Horticulture Authority (PHA) further improved the quality of services of the Faisalabad Parking Company.

They also demanded alternate route for heavy traffic in the city at night to curtail accidents.
