One of the most popular novels of the 21st century, cherished by classics enthusiasts and pulp-fiction readers alike, ‘The Kite Runner’ authored by Afghan-American writer Khaled Hosseini is being adapted for theatre.

It will be featuring Pakistani-American actor Faran Tahir in a significant role, that of the child protagonist’s father. “To say that I am proud of you is an understatement. I always wished I’d seen you on stage during your ‘Othello’ or ‘Richard III’ but my wish has come true even better than that. I get to see you on the most prestigious stage on earth, Broadway!!” was how her statement went, added at the end of which were hashtags of ‘The Kite Runner’ and ‘Broadway’.
