Federal ministers should clear their position about dollar smuggling, says Fawad Chaudhry

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry has said that the federal ministers should clear their position about smuggling of dollar.

Former minister has said in a statement on twitter that the value of rupee was declining despite International Monetary Fund (IMF) deal.

He urged the federal ministers, whose names were being circulated in the context of dollar smuggling, should explain their position. He also stated that the dollar had become more expensive as its value had been increasing.

He stated that the smuggling of dollar had started after the incumbent government came into power and the reason for it was smuggling to Afghanistan.

He also said that there was a difference of Rs10 between the dollar rate in the interbank and the open market.

Earlier, PTI leader and former federal minister Hamad Azhar had said that despite the IMF programme, the federal government was unable to manage the economy. He also said that Imran Khan and his colleagues were sidelined and now the people were also being pushed to the wall.
