Feelings of opposition will remain in their heart, Punjab Assembly Speaker

Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan has said that the opposition’s feelings will remain in their heart as neither the governor’s rule could be imposed nor a no-confidence motion could come.

Talking to the media after meeting with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan he said that they have postponed the assembly meeting but not indefinitely. He also said that only the speaker could postpone the session called by the speaker itself as the Governor could postpone the meeting called by Governor.

Speaker made it clear that the opposition was sitting in the meeting called by the provincial government and not in the Aiwan-e-Iqbal. He added that the opposition was sitting in their meeting which meant that it was a legal session.

He said that the people were standing with the PTI Chairman and no one will leave.

Upon another question, he said that why would he come with the message of CM Punjab Pervaiz Elahi. He said that the party chairman had ordered him to come.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced to dissolve of assemblies during his address to the long march gathering at Rawalpindi on November 26.

Since that day there have been consultations over the resignations of PTI lawmakers from all assemblies.
