A 23-year-old girl who was admitted to kidney-ward of Indus Hospital Tando Muhammad Khan has been allegedly subjected to sexual assault by doctors on Thursday evening.
The victim identified as Seema has been suffering from kidney-related disease for a couple of years and was admitted to Indus Hospital where she was shifted to Hyderabad after her condition worsened in the wake of alleged sexual assault.
As soon as parents and relatives came to know about the incident they staged a protest following which the situation turned critical at the hospital.
Sources revealed that the doctors and the staff had managed to escape the area. A non-cognizable Report was lodged at the local police station by the parents of the victim. The police have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
