MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested a man wanted in a human trafficking case for nearly two years after he arrived in Pakistan from Saudi Arabia.

According to an FIA spokesperson, the suspect was taken into custody at Multan International Airport immediately after landing. He had been declared wanted by the FIA’s Anti-Human Trafficking Circle in Lahore in connection with a human smuggling case dating back to 2024.

Investigators said the accused was allegedly involved in an attempt to send individuals to Europe using forged travel documents. Since the case was registered, he had remained at large before being apprehended upon his return to the country.

The suspect has been handed over to the relevant FIA authorities for further legal proceedings, while the investigation into the human trafficking network is continuing.
