FIA summons Farrukh Habib and Ijaz-ul-Haq

Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Farrukh Habib and Ijaz-ul-Haq.

PTI leader Farrukh Habib has been summoned by FIA Faisalabad circle. According to the FIA, Farrukh Habib is accused of misusing his authority. In a letter written by the agency to Farrukh Habib, he has been directed to appear on February 21.

On the other hand Ijaz-ul-Haq has also been summoned by the FIA. He is accused of money laundering, possessing assets beyond his known sources of income. According to the FIA, Ijaz-ul-Haq is accused of money laundering of Rs1.8 billion and possessing assets beyond his known sources of income.

The FIA said that Ijaz-ul-Haq is being investigated for money laundering of Rs1.8 billion. The FIA has directed him to appear before it on February 21 at the Faisalabad office. His case was transferred to the FIA by NAB. He will be investigated by a joint inquiry team.
