FIA summons Tasneem on November 29 in Arshad Sharif’s murder investigation

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has summoned Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) spokesman in London Tasneem Haider for claiming crucial information and evidence in connection with the murder of journalist Arshad Sharif.

In a notification issued by the FIA’s two-member fact-finding committee, Tasneem has been summoned to join the investigation into the murder of the journalist. The FIA summoned the alleged PML-N leader on November 29.

“You (Tasneem Haider) while speaking to the media said that you have important information and evidence regarding the murder of Arshad Sharif therefore, you are requested to appear before the fact-finding committee on November 29,” the notification read.

On November 21 Tasneem held a press conference in London regarding the murder of Arshad Sharif in which he claimed that he had important information and evidence regarding the murder of the journalist.

Video clips of Tasneem’s press conference circulating on social media were shared by several leaders of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

Tasneem Haider had claimed that he was the spokesperson of the PML-N in London, alleging that Nawaz Sharif was part of a conspiracy to kill senior journalist Arshad Sharif and assassinate former prime minister Imran Khan.
