The Federation of International Cricketers’ Association (FICA) announced the appointment and included Sana Mir in the 11-member FICA board.
FICA’s senior leadership has included two other women Lisa Sthalekar, an Australian cricketer, and Cecelia Joyce, an Irish cricketer.
Sana Mir said in a message on social media that she was very happy to join FICA and it was an honour for her.
FICA Executive Chairman Heath Mills has said in a statement regarding the appointment of Sana Mir as a new director that they were delighted that a person like Sana Mir had joined the FICA board and Sana Mir’s experience and presence in the World Game was an asset to the FICA board.
