Last week, Jami Moor took to his Instagram account to say that he was at work these days, and was working with the veteran actor Akbar Subhani.
“What a treat to be around him!” the director and filmmaker had said, adding that they were on shoot for the past three days.
It is after long that Jami Moor is working on some project, as he chose to take a break after the much controversial case he got involved in around three years ago. The filmmaker had stated that an influential person sexually assaulted him multiple years ago, and he couldn’t voice his concern back then, but had now decided to name him. That naming invited a lot of problems for Jami Moor, who was not only insulted and somewhat isolated as well, but also had to go through legal proceedings.
Following the controversy, he chose to take a long break from work and also shut all of his social media handles to avoid further criticism. Jami Moor has been working as an unparalleled film-maker since the late 1990s, and has directed some of the most artistic Pakistani music videos for singers like Hadiqa Kiani, Strings band, Ali Zafar, Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat and Shafqat Amanat Ali.
