Five donkeys in timber smuggling case presented in Chitral court

A strange incident happened in Chitral when five donkeys were presented in court in a smuggling case.

According to details, the police had taken donkeys into custody in a smuggling case and those were presented before the Drosh assistant commissioner Tauseefullah in the court. Allegedly timber smuggling was being carried out on the animals.

The five animals had been summoned by the assistant commissioner as assets in a timber smuggling case and were handed over to the forest department officials after satisfactory inspection.

According to the assistant commissioner, the donkeys were safe and were not handed over to anyone. He also said the animals were no longer being used for smuggling. The court also showed satisfaction after the animals were given in the custody of concerned authorities.
