FO condemns mosque terrorist attack in Afghanistan

Pakistan condemned the terrorist attack on the Guzargah Mosque in Herat, Afghanistan, which resulted in multiple fatalities and several injuries.

On Friday, 18 people were killed when a suicide bomber attacked one of the largest mosques in western Afghanistan.

Among the dead was a prominent imam who had earlier this year demanded the beheading of anybody who committed the smallest act against the government.

The Pakistan Foreign Office (FO) released a statement on Sunday that said, “The Government and People of Pakistan send their profound thoughts and condolences to the lost families and hope for the speedy recovery of those injured.”

FO further said, “Pakistan denounces terrorism in all of its manifestations and forms. In this time of sadness and grief, the people of Pakistan support their Afghan brothers and sisters.”
