Former Captain Mohammad Hafeez joins Quetta Gladiators

Former Pakistan captain Mohammad Hafeez has joined Quetta Gladiators in the eighth season of the HBL PSL.

According to sources, cricketer Ahsan Ali has been ruled out of the PSL after his injury.

Quetta Gladiators have included former captain Hafeez in the squad after Ali’s injury.

In four years, the team managed by Sarfaraz Ahmed reached three finals, winning the championship in 2019. In the first and second seasons, they finished second.

As of right now, the team consists of Mohammad Nawaz, Iftikhar Ahmed, Jason Roy, Mohammad Hasnain, Sarfaraz Ahmed, Naveen ul Haq, Umar Akmal, Will Smeed, Wanindu Hasaranga, Naseem Shah, Odean Smith, Mohammad Hafeez, Umaid Asif, Muhammad Zahid, Abdul Bangalzai, Aimal Khan, Martin Guptill, Omair Bin Yousu (partial replacement for Naveen ul Haq)

However, Lahore Qalandars will take on Multan Sultans in the opening match of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Before the match, a opening ceremony will also be held at Multan Stadium.
