Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has admitted that there is a lot of inflation in the country. he said that the economy of the country was destroyed by the previous PTI led government and now they were giving the roadmap for progress and prosperity of Pakistan.
Speaking in the Senate meeting, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar said that inflation is very high in the country, and the administration is making international payments continuously.
He further perceived that the country’s foreign exchange reserves had improved, and the reserves had been improving for the last five weeks.
Ishaq added that the $2 billion that was returned to China came back and more are coming while technical talks with the IMF had been completed.
Ishaq Dar commented, “Pakistan’s economy was at number 24 in 2017, and at 47th in 2022, what happened in five years that the economy went so low, we have come here due to incompetence and wrong policy, we have reversed the agreement of the previous government for which we are paying a big price, they destroyed the economy, now doing politics on the economy. Close and create an economic roadmap.”
He said that digitization should be done to reduce the cost of the census.
