Foundation stone of Jati sports complex laid

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Member of National Assembly (MNA) Ayaz Shah Shirazi laid down the foundation stone of a sports complex named after his late father and veteran politician Syed Ayaz Shah Shirazi in Jati, a coastal town of Sujawal District on Sunday.

It will be the first sports complex in the taluka of around 300,000 inhabitants. Addressing the foundation-laying ceremony, Shirazi said the sports complex would also work as a rehabilitation center for youth indulging in unhealthy activities. “Today, the dream of the youth of this remote area has come true,” he said. “This is my constituency and I will make efforts for the development of its people. These poor masses are my responsibility and I will stand by them like my father, who taught me to become the voice of the poor people,” the MNA vowed.

Shirazi further said that a few unscrupulous elements were trying to drive a wedge between the district party leadership but they failed in their intentions. “PM Khan has failed to fulfill the promises he made during the election campaign, and now people from all walks of life are lashing out at him for poor performance and deficient policies that have deprived the poor people of almost every basic amenity,” he said while criticizing the PM and claimed that the PPP will emerge victorious in the upcoming elections “because it has fulfilled most of the promises made to the people of Sindh”.
