Four-day international defence expo to take place in Karachi from 15-18 November

The purpose of this expo is to promote Pakistan's defence exports

A four-day international defence expo will be held at Karachi Expo Center from 15-18 November 2022.

International Defense Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) is one of the most important events in South Asia which is organized by the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO).

The Expo could not be held in 2020 due to the COVID outbreak and will be held this year after a gap of 4 years.

However, the commemoration of the 11th edition of IDEAS for the exchange and promotion of technology signifies Pakistan’s defence sector progress and professionalism.

This event will play an important role in not just bringing international peace, cooperation, and stability but also improving Pakistan’s strategic relationship with other countries.

All editions of IDEAS have been made successful by the efforts of government institutions, Armed forces, state and private defence industries, and trading authorities.

In the IDEAS 2018 expo, 524 delegations from 45 countries participated which includes more than 262 high-profile delegations.

China, the Chez Republic, Germany, Italy, France, Jordan, Russia, Poland, South Korea, UAE, Turkiye, Ukraine, USA, and Pakistan have established their special setups for the expo.

The event includes the Pakistan Army Pavilion, Armed Forces Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, National Logistics Cell, Anti-Narcotics Forces, Frontier Works Organization, Counter IED Organization, and Military Training Directorate.

The purpose of this expo is to promote Pakistan’s defence exports; it will also include the display of the Al-Khalid Tank, Jet Trainer, JF-17, Craft K-8, and UAVs.

It is considered to be a unique platform for showcasing Pakistan’s defence preparedness and training capabilities to international stakeholders.
