Pakistani film ‘Javed Iqbal’, which is all set to release on January 28 for the public, had its star-studded premiere held in Karachi on January 25, at Nueplex Cinema, DHA.
While Ayesha Omar, Paras Masroor and Yasir Hussain who are playing important roles in the film definitely had to be there, a lot of other celebrities made sure to mark their presence at the event, including Yasir Hussain’s wife, Iqra Aziz, along with Wajahat Rauf, Ashir Wajahat, Azfar Rehman, Faysal Quraishi, Asad Siddiqui, Srha Asghar and Noor ul Hassan. People were also delighted to see Ayesha Omar’s mother making it to the event.
Film ‘Javed Iqbal’ has been written and directed by Abu Aleeha, and revolves around the life of the notorious serial killer who was on the loose in the late 1990s, and confessed to killing over 100 boys. The complete title of the film goes like ‘Javed Iqbal: The Untold Story of a Serial Killer’ and stars Yasir Hussain in the titular role along with Ayesha Omar, who will be playing a female cop.
People are really curious to see how such a sad and grim narrative will make it to the screens, especially since the real story involves innumerable murders, suggesting that the movie will be a difficult watch for many.
