Government expresses gratitude to IOs for success of Geneva summit

Pakistan’s government expresses its gratitude to International organizations for the success of the Geneva conference calling it a big success for Pakistan.

In a statement issued by Prime Minister Shehbaz on Twitter, he said that the world has seen how nations come together to express solidarity for the recovery of the victims of the humanitarian tragedy.

“A big thank you to Heads of state & governments, the European Union, our development partners & United Nations for making Resilient Pakistan Conference a resounding success. UN Secretary-General has shown stellar leadership all along. People of Pakistan will forever remain grateful,” PM wrote.

On the other hand, Federal Minister for Information Marriyum Aurangzeb said in her statement that the Geneva Conference has proven to be a great success for Pakistan and the flood victims.

She said that funds will be given to the people to change their lives with transparency.

She also thanked the international and domestic media for effectively highlighting the cause of humanity and climate change.

The Information Minister said that this conference has become a symbol of the collective sense of humanity, providing resources that will help in starting a new and better life for the flood victims, and the conference has made the world realize the serious effects of climate change.

Marriyum Aurangzeb further said, “We also thank the domestic and foreign participants who presented and supported the case of Pakistan and the provinces.”
