The government has decided to carry out massive electoral reforms before the general elections, 73 amendments to the Election Act 2017 were presented before the Electoral Reforms Committee.

A meeting of the Parliamentary Election Reforms Committee was held under the chairmanship of Chairman Sardar Ayaz Sadiq in which 73 amendments were placed before the Parliamentary Committee to further amend the Election Act 2017.

In the meeting, officials of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, The Ministry of Law and Justice and the Election Commission gave their opinion to the committee on the proposed amendments in electoral reforms and informed their position for improvement in electoral reforms.

Expressing serious concern over the delay in the election results by the political parties in the meeting, it was agreed that the delayed results will not be accepted, according to sources, the Presiding Officer in the Electoral Reforms Committee was proposed to allocate time to complete the results, according to which the delay of the results will be sought from the Presiding Officer. Will be obliged to give a solid reason for the delay in the results.

According to sources, according to the proposed electoral reforms, the returning officer will ensure the supply of modern communication equipment to the subordinate presiding officers, the presiding officer will be obliged to send a picture of the full results signed by him to the returning officer.
