Govt to face PPP in capital as Bilawal announces long march in February

PPP chairman demands fresh elections, says they are only solution to resolve current crisis

Pakistan People’s Party co-Chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has declared that he would head a long march against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) government February 27 onwards from Karachi to Islamabad.

Addressing a press conference today, Bilawal made the demand of fresh elections saying that they were the only solution to resolve the current crisis of the country. He added that the party would put forth their demands as they reach the capital.

The PPP co-chairperson also claimed of a plot underway to reverse the former tribal areas of the country.

Bilawal spoke of how the public did not have food or gas. He said the promises made to the people of FATA had not been fulfilled, and that the people of the country had had enough with the current PTI government.

Bilawal elaborated that PPP would initiate an anti-government drive from Lahore. He said the PPP had been alarmed over the secret negotiations with the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban outfit, saying that the PTI government did not take parliament into confidence over the matter and sold off Pakistan’s sovereignty.

Speaking on the Supplementary Finance Bill, Bilawal said that PPP would oppose the mini-budget in the parliament and that the party would launch a protest outside the house. He concluded that the national economy had been obliterated under the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government.
