Millions of Muslims gathered at Masjid al-Haram to offer the first Friday prayers of Dhul Hijjah in a deeply spiritual atmosphere. Worshippers from different countries filled the Grand Mosque as preparations for the annual Hajj pilgrimage continued at full pace.

In the Friday sermon, Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly spoke about the importance and blessings of the first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah. He said these days hold great value in Islam and are considered among the most sacred days of the year.

He urged Muslims to increase their prayers, charity, remembrance of Allah and other acts of worship during this period. He said that good deeds performed in these blessed days are especially loved by Allah Almighty and bring immense spiritual reward.

Sheikh Maher Al-Muaiqly also addressed the millions of pilgrims arriving in Saudi Arabia for Hajj. He advised them to maintain discipline, patience and respect for the sanctity of the pilgrimage. He stressed the importance of following all Hajj instructions and official regulations issued by the authorities to ensure safety and smooth arrangements for everyone.

The Imam warned against performing Hajj without official permission. He said unauthorised pilgrims create overcrowding and difficulties for other worshippers. He added that violating Hajj regulations can disrupt the organised system established for the safety, comfort and security of pilgrims.

Saudi authorities have implemented strict measures this year to manage the massive flow of pilgrims during the Hajj season. Security personnel, volunteers and health teams remain deployed across the holy sites to facilitate worshippers and maintain order.

The first 10 days of Dhul Hijjah are regarded as highly sacred in Islam. Muslims around the world observe these days through prayers, fasting, charity and preparations for Eid-ul-Adha, while pilgrims in Saudi Arabia prepare to perform the sacred rituals of Hajj.
