He also raised concern over the kidnapping of 10 Pakistani citizens by pirates. He said the condition of the abducted individuals is deteriorating. He criticized the government for not taking effective steps for their recovery.
He stressed that protecting the lives and property of citizens is the responsibility of the state. He demanded immediate action to ensure the safe return of the hostages.
He further said that the issue was dismissed in the Sindh Assembly as a federal matter. He warned that protests will be launched if no progress is made. He also said his party may sit with the families of the abducted individuals in protest.
Hafiz Naeem announced that Jamaat-e-Islami will continue its movement against rising petrol and electricity prices. He said a broader protest campaign will be launched against inflation.
He also criticized political arrangements within the PDM alliance. He alleged that the PPP system has been extended to Gilgit-Baltistan as well.
