Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi Chief Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman has demanded the formation of a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) over the absence of PTI’s local government chairmen in the mayoral elections.
Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said, “I also demand from the court, we will also go to the court, we will also demand that a JIT be formed on this, and include all sensitive institutions in this JIT, and find out how these human beings, living people, elected people of the people, got elected from the people’s votes and disappeared from this entire process of mayor’s election.”
Talking to the media in Karachi, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman said that the local body elections were postponed four times, constituencies were divided to increase their seats. The results were changed with the ROs, the ROs read the result written by the PPP, the Jamaat-e-Islami was deliberately defeated in 14 UCs, despite doing all this, the PPP could not get a majority.
Hafiz Naeem said that all the people of Jamaat-e-Islami had come to vote, in the past also the PPP broke the country but did not accept the mandate.
