Hamza Ali Abbasi reveals rejecting Varun Dhawan starrer Bollywood film ‘Judwaa 2’

Actor Hamza Ali Abbasi recently reveals that he rejected the Varun Dhawan-starring Bollywood film ‘Judwaa 2.’

The “Pyarey Afzal” star recently disclosed to local media that he had declined two Bollywood offers for the film. The actor acknowledged that the Varun Dhawan-led comedy film “Judwaa 2” was the one that Abbasi rejected in 2015.

He explained that he had to reject the offer because of the tense relations between the neighbouring countries. Abbasi also said that he retreated from the script because of some of the material since he was uncomfortable with it.

Hamza, while getting asked more about roles, admitted that director Sajid Nadiadwala had presented him with the script and that he knew nothing about it.

Abbasi said that he had earlier rejected Akshay Kumar’s “Baby” because of its anti-Pakistani narrative and that Mikaal Zulfiqar ultimately got the project.

Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, and several other Pakistani actors have worked in India and created a massive fan following around the world. Fawad Khan was last seen in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ and Mahira Khan in ‘Raees’ with Shah Rukh Khan.

However, after relations between both countries started to get damaged, India bans Pakistani artists from working in Bollywood.

Currently, Fawad, Mahira, and Hamza are enjoying the success of ‘The Legend of Maula Jatt’ which has shattered every Box-office record for Pakistani cinema.
