Hassaan Niazi handed over to Quetta police, Lahore police also seek custody

The Abbottabad police have handed over PTI chairman Imran Khan’s nephew Hassaan Niazi to Quetta police, while the Punjab Police has said that the accused is wanted by the Lahore Police in the Jinnah House vandalism case.

Hassaan Niazi was arrested from Abbottabad yesterday but the police handed him over to Quetta police.

On the other hand, the Lahore Police said that the accused Hassaan Niazi is wanted by the Lahore Police in the Jinnah House vandalism case. It added that a letter has been sent to the Quetta Home Department to bring the accused to Lahore.

News of Hassan Niazi’s arrest came to light around 1 am on Sunday through PTI leaders and workers. Sources said that Hassaan Niazi was hiding in a factory. However, there was no official confirmation of the arrest.

Hassaan Niazi’s father Hafeez ullah Niazi tweeted around 2.30 pm that his son had been arrested.
