Higher Education Commission (HEC) has been directed to take stern action against fake institutions.
Chairman of Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training Senator Irfan Siddiqui has directed HEC to take action and ensure quality education in the country.
The meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Federal Education and Professional Training was held in Islamabad. Senator Irfan Siddiqui chaired the meeting.
According to state media, the report on fake educational institutes was presented before the committee and members of the committee expressed concerns over the matter.
The Chairman of the Senate Standing Committee directed HEC to submit a report before the committee.
The Senate committee also unanimously passed a bill titled ‘The Federal University (Amendment) Bill 2022’.
