The Attorney General of Pakistan (AGP) reached the Supreme Court after consulting Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif on the in-chamber hearing regarding election funds.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had summoned the AGP for consultation before the in-chamber hearing, on which he immediately reached the Prime Minister’s Office from the Supreme Court.
Talking informally to the media on the occasion, Attorney General Mansoor Usman said that the parliament has stopped the government from releasing funds, now the federal government has no authority to release funds for the elections.
He said that how can the government give the funds now?
The Attorney General said that the government’s position will be presented during the in-chamber hearing.
