Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has criticized the government and questioned how the establishment was allowing the country to fall into the quagmire of complete economic destruction and misery.

Imran Khan wrote in his tweet that leaving the rule of law completely behind, this fascist government is pursuing a one-point agenda of crushing the PTI, leaving behind general Musharraf’s martial law.

He further wrote “in the meantime, the country’s economy is falling into a deep abyss of destruction. In the open market, the dollar is being sold for Rs315, while for those who do not have identity cards, it is available for Rs320 to Rs325. There is a difference of Rs30 per dollar between the government and the open market.”

“Hoarding of dollars in the economy, the extraordinary confidence of the public and the business community on the dollar against the rupee simply means that there is no domestic or foreign investment in the country, which will further shrink the gross domestic product (GDP) or cause an even more severe blow to the economy and the country’s very high inflation,” he stated.

Criticizing the government, Imran Khan further said that billions of dollars of PDM leaders are stored in coffers abroad, they are not even worried about the destruction of the economy.

“The question is, how is the Pakistani establishment allowing the country to fall into the quagmire of complete economic destruction and misery?” Imran Khan asked.
