Hundreds protest alleged desecration of Holy Quran

Several hundred enraged people took to the streets in Hyderabad city on Sunday to register their protest against the alleged desecration of Holy Quran by some miscreants in the heart of the city.

The leaders of several hundred infuriated people tried to break open the door of some suspects. Police personnel were deployed to calm down the tense situation and had to use teargas to disperse the crowd. During their violent demonstration, the protesters attacked and ransacked properties, including a shop, in the centre of the town and demanded early arrest of the suspect, who, according to them, had deliberately desecrated the holy book.
