Former Pakistan’s Ambassador Husain Haqqani on Sunday denied Imran Khan’s accusations of him behind Khan’s ouster from the PM office.
Haqqani in a tweet wrote sarcastically, “Poor thing! I was hired by his government to plot against him and he didn’t even know. Americans are fools they fall for my words.”
He further added, “For those who don’t understand sarcasm, this whole story is a lie. I was not hired by anyone, nor do I do anything other than give my opinion.”

Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), claimed on Sunday that he was the target of a plot to install Shehbaz Sharif as prime minister.
He stated that the plan was started a year ago and that the primary figure behind it was gradually revealed to him in a video speech on Sunday.
Khan claimed that Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa, who struck a deal with Sharif before Khan’s legal repercussions, was the brains behind the scheme.
In his speech, Mr. Khan mentioned that PTI had published a white paper that highlighted the catastrophe that had occurred during the previous year and claimed that a small group of people had been responsible for the situation in the country.
According to him, the government inherited a $20 billion deficit in 2018 that needed two years to resolve.
