The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has again decided to take advantage of the hosting of the ICC World Cup, and in the matches against Australia, England and Pakistan it has been planned to make spin pitches.
BCCI has taken full advantage of being the host and has chosen suitable venues for itself in the matches from the rival sides with calculations.
On October 8, blue shirts will play their opening match against Australia in Chennai; this venue is a paradise for spinners. The Indian team will try to make a winning start in the mega event by defeating the Kangaroos on the strength of their spin attack.
At the same venue, Pakistan’s match with the Afghan side was kept, which is famous all over the world due to its spin attack, similarly Pakistan’s match against Australia was kept in Bengaluru, where the conditions are favorable for the pacers.
Pakistan also objected to the match against India in Ahmedabad, which did not help, the Modi Stadium there is also helpful for spinners due to its large outfield.
On the other hand, the Indian team has been declared favorite, blue shirts will face England in the favorite conditions for themselves in Lucknow. At this venue, three ODIs were played between Afghanistan and West Indies, all of which proved to be low scoring. The hosts will take on the Afghan team at the Feroze Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi.
Meanwhile, the International Cricket Council has directed all participating countries to finalize the squads by August 29. In this way, everyone has less than two months to finalize their combination, during this time they will have to remove their weak links and prepare a strong team, 30 days before the start of the tournament, all the participating countries will have to submit their initial squads, after that the support period can be changed without permission. Any change can be made only with the permission of the committee.
The World Cup will start on October 5 and the teams will submit the names of their squads five weeks in advance. On the other hand, the situation is not good for the Indian Cricket Board because it has not yet found a suitable chief selector, due to low remuneration, many big former cricketers are not interested in taking up this responsibility, they are not even allowed to commentate on TV, but now the BCCI has indicated to increase the compensation.
The most important match between Pakistan and India will be held in Ahmedabad on October 15, for which the enthusiasm of the fans has started touching the heights of the sky, according to a media report that came out a few days ago, hotels have increased their fares manifold.
