After the Chief Minister, another major change has taken place in Gilgit-Baltistan, Inspector General (IG) Gilgit-Baltistan Police Dar Ali Khattak has been removed from the post.

According to a notification issued by the Establishment Division, Dar Ali Khattak, an officer of Police Service Grade 20, has been directed to report to the Establishment Division and Afzal Mahmood Butt has been posted as IG Police Gilgit-Baltistan in his place.
Earlier, Afzal Mehmood Butt of Police Service Grade 20 was serving in the Punjab government.
It may be recalled that a Gilgit court had disqualified PTI’s Chief Minister Khalid Khursheed in the fake degree case yesterday.
