IGP visits Services hospital to meet injured police personals

Inspector General of Punjab Police (IGP) Dr. Usman Anwar visited Services Hospital on Sunday to check on the officers and staff who were hurt when PTI workers attacked them during the raid on Imran Khan’s home in Zaman Park on Saturday.

The IGP paid Sub-Inspector Sulaiman Akbar, ASI Naseer, and ASI Furqan a visit and expressed his admiration for their bravery and courage.

The on-call medical professionals briefed IGP Anwar on the injuries sustained by the cops and their current state of health.

The IGP was accompanied to the Services Hospital by Lahore CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamiana and other police personnel.

Earlier, the Punjab interim government indicated it will take action in response to an alleged attack on a police van near Imran Khan’s Zaman Park mansion in Lahore by fans.

Legal action will be taken against the criminals who attacked a team of the special force and its car on Canal Road, according to a provincial government official.

Several party workers with sticks in hand stopped the police force as they were leaving the Gaddafi Stadium after serving as security for the Pakistan Super League (PSL) game.
