Ilhan Omar to join US premiere of Pakistani film ‘Dum Mastam’

Actor and producer Adnan Siddiqui has announced that the American politician Ilhan Omar who is currently on a visit to Pakistan, has accepted the invitation for the US premier of upcoming Pakistani film ‘Dum Mustam’.

Siddiqui shared a photo from a lunch with the US representative, showing a whole team along including the hero-figure from ‘Dum Mustam’, Imran Ashraf. Siddiqui, who has produced the film along with Akhtar Husnain, captioned the photo in the following manner:

“Had a wonderful conversation on several thoughtful topics including geo-politics, entertainment, culture and food with the amazing Ilhan Omar, the first Somali American and one of the first two Muslim women in the US house. She was kind enough to accept my invitation to join us at our premiere for ‘Dum Mastam’ in the US next month. Wishing her a safe travel.”

In Pakistan, the film is all set to release on Eid-ul-Fitr. Produced by Adnan Siddiqui and Akhtar Husnain, it has been directed by the ace director Ehteshamuddin, whose second project as a film-maker this is going to be, ‘Superstar’ starring Mahira Khan being the first. As a drama-maker, however, Ehteshamuddin has innumerable projects to his name such as ‘Partition Stories’, ‘Aseer Zadi’, ‘Sadqe Tumhare’, ‘Udaari’ and ‘Angan’.
