The schedule of the IMF Executive Board meeting has been released, while the matter of Pakistan is not included in the schedule.

Differences between the IMF and Pakistan remain over estimates of tax collection targets in the federal budget for the next fiscal year.

A new schedule of the IMF Executive Board meeting has been issued till June 14 and Pakistan’s issue is not included in the schedule due to lack of staff-level agreement yet.

The deadlock between Pakistan and the IMF on the resumption of the loan program remains, but the government is hopeful of a staff-level agreement by June 30.

According to sources, the IMF is pushing to increase the tax target to Rs 9,800 billion, while the Finance Ministry proposes to set an annual tax target of Rs 9,200 billion.
