Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah called Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan psychotic and said that the government was ready to deal with him and PTI supporters when they come to Islamabad.
Sanaullah has said that Imran Khan was making his preparations whereas the government had made its preparations. Calling Imran Khan a psychotic, he asked what they can talk to him about. The Interior minister also warned the provinces of the action if they refuse to send their police to Islamabad.
PTI Chairman Imran Khan had warned Rana Sanaullah that he would not be able to find a place to hide in Islamabad when PTI supporters will assemble in the federal capital on his call.
The interior minister warned the PTI Chairman against coming to Islamabad or face consequences; further saying, “When Khan Sahib expresses his willingness [to come to Islamabad for the anti-government march] we will take afresh whatever steps are required,” the interior minister was addressing a seminar over drug trafficking.
The Interior minister also said that there would be the utilization of modern methods for firing tear gas shells and rubber bullets; adding that the use of drone technology was also being considered against the marchers.
He added that the federal government gets power from the Constitution and the federal cabinet and prime minister should use that in case of any such situation. He has also said that the protestors should gather at F-9 park or some other place according to directions of the Supreme Court of Pakistan; warning that strong action would be taken if they try to come towards D-chowk.
