Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and several PTI leaders have been booked in another case in Islamabad.

The new FIR against PTI leaders has been registered for violation of Section 144 in Islamabad. The FIR has been registered at Aabpara police station in Islamabad.

The 17 PTI leaders booked in the FIR include former federal ministers Asad Umar, Murad Saeed, Fawad Chaudhary and Senator Faisal Javed. Former interior minister Sheikh Rasheed is also among the leaders named in the FIR.

The FIR has stated that Imran Khan and other PTI leaders had violated the Section 144. It also has stated that on the directions of Imran Khan, roads were blocked by PTI leaders and their supporters. According to media reports, the FIR has also included the use of loudspeakers by PTI chairman and other party leaders.

Imran Khan is also under court trial for threatening additional sessions judge Zeba Chaudhry in the same public rally in Islamabad. A three-member bench of Islamabad High Court (IHC) has summoned the PTI chairman on August 31. The IHC bench had forwarded the case to Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Umar Ata Bandial for inclusion of more judges in the bench.

Imran Khan had warned the additional sessions judge, inspector general Islamabad police and deputy inspector general Islamabad police that he won’t spare them in relation to the alleged torture on PTI leader and Imran Khan’s chief of staff Shahbaz Gill.
