Imran Khan requests ATC to revoke Zaman Park search warrants

The anti-terrorism court (ATC) issued notices to the former prime minister Imran Khan on a petition against the cancellation of the search warrant of Zaman Park and sought a reply from the parties by May 30.

PTI Chairman Imran Khan has submitted a petition to the anti-terrorism court in Lahore asking for the cancellation of search warrants that were obtained on May 18 for his home in Zaman Park.

Imran Khan listed the state, the commissioner of Lahore, the DIG operations in Lahore, and the SSP operations in Lahore, among other parties, as respondents in the petition. He claimed that the search warrants were obtained by law enforcement agents with malicious intent.

In his plea, he pleaded that the search warrant related to the petitioner’s home in Zaman Park, Lahore, “may kindly be set-aside/canceled/recalled being illegal, unlawful, inappropriate and lacking the requisite legal parameters for a valid warrant in the interest of justice and fair play.”

In addition, Imran pleaded with the court to punish the respondents harshly for “their unlawful and illegal abuse of power under the pretext of the search warrant.”
