Imran Khan stays firm on his allegation of ‘foreign conspiracy’

Khan also demanded that the supreme court have an open hearing on this issue

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan on Saturday said that the recently held meeting of the National Security Council (NSC) has also confirmed that the ‘threatening letter’ sent by a foreign country’ was genuine.

Speaking to media at his residence in Bani Gala, he called on Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to apologize. “Shehbaz Sharif said that if the letter would be true then he will come to me but I do not want to keep a person like him with me but at least he should apologize to me,” he said.

He further said that the NSC statement used the word ‘undiplomatic’ for US diplomat Lu’s communication with our ambassador adding that he would say his language was arrogant.

“It is now obvious that what I was saying was true. The NSC meeting has confirmed what the first meeting said. I knew that not everyone was involved in the conspiracy,” he said.

Khan has also demanded that the supreme court should have an open hearing on this issue.  He also called on the party workers to mobilize at the grass-root level and he will announce a rally in Islamabad soon. He also claimed that there will be a sea of people marching toward the capital on his call.

Earlier NSC issued a statement after a meeting held with PM Shehbaz in which it was again said that there has been no foreign conspiracy.
