Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman and former prime minister Imran Khan strongly condemned the Israeli police attack on worshippers in Al-Aqsa mosque on Wednesday. He asked OICs to inform the UNSC & international community that such barbaric acts cause immense hurt to Muslims across the world.
Israeli police attacked dozens of worshippers in Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque compound before dawn on Wednesday during the holy month of Ramadan.
The incident provoked protests throughout the occupied West Bank, and the Israeli military asserted that nine rockets were fired from Gaza toward Israel after sirens were heard in southern towns.
The former premier took to Twitter to express his anger stating, “Strongly condemn this attack on worshippers in Al Aqsa mosque once again by Israeli forces esp during Holy month of Ramadan.”

He further said that “It is OIC’s responsibility to inform the UNSC & int community that such barbaric acts cause immense hurt to Muslims across the world.”
Since last year, there has been an increase in violence in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem, and this month, as Passover, Easter, and the Jewish holiday of Ramadan all fall on the same day, there are fears that tensions could rise even more.
Pakistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia both condemned this attack at an official level.
According to the official Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs strongly denounced the Israeli army’s Wednesday raid on Jerusalem’s Al-Aqsa Mosque, which resulted in attacks on worshippers and the detention of a number of them.
Also, Pakistan Foreign Office issued a statement on Wednesday and strongly condemns violence by Israeli police in the Al-Aqsa Mosque. “The Israeli actions in the Al-Aqsa Mosque hurt Muslims all over the world.”
