Imran Khan terms Taliban regime ‘pro- Pakistan governmnet’

Military operations never bear fruits, says Khan

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan while talking to a seminar via a link in Lahore stated that military operations never bear fruits they are only part of the peace agreement.

“Ministers are issuing irresponsible statements that they are planning to attack Afghanistan; if the Afghan government stops cooperation with Pakistan, then we will have a never-ending war on our hands,” Khan said.

Ex-premier further added, “For the first time in the history of Afghanistan a Pro-Pakistan government of the Taliban has been established. Then we evacuated foreigners from Afghanistan and got TTP re-settled in Pakistan. It involved not just the PTI government but all stakeholders and I was called Taliban Khan.”

The head of PTI claimed that the coalition administration is not concentrating on discussions with its counterpart in Afghanistan.

He also said that Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto-first Zardari’s trip abroad should have been to the neighbouring, war-torn nation.

Khan added that when America departed Afghanistan, we had a wonderful chance to enhance the bilateral relations between the two states.

“We did everything we could to strengthen our connections with the Ashraf Ghani administration and resolved not to interfere in Afghan issues,” he stated.

Khan also claimed that Pakistan helped foreigners evacuate from Afghanistan.
